Interesting comments on innovation. Many of them seem to come from the perspective of inventing it. I have learned two things:
1.Meaningful iInnovation is hard work. It is easy to do something different, not easy to do something meaningful.
2. Meaningful innovation is driven by specific customer (benefactor) needs, not by what we think they need. The starting point may be my (our) idea, but the finishing point has to take into account the perspective of whomever we are hoping the innovation will benefit.
