Can you please provide some data or calculations to support your water heater recomendations?

Also, I would warn your readers that lowering the water heater thermostat below 120F is not recommended due to the development of legionella in the tank and water lines. Actually, 120F seems to be the best compromise between energy use and scalding prevention while maintaining healthy water.
